Always 1:1
No-Slump Coaching — starting at $375. Come with your partial draft, or no draft at all. Get clear on what your next book truly needs from you.
The 720° Manuscript Review — $2,450. Find out what's working in your draft and what's not. I'll suggest changes and support you as you begin implementing them.
*I also offer a mini review for just $375!
Don't have a full draft yet? Then this is your lane. I’ll help you uncover the book you really want to write and make sure you actually execute on your plan.
I'll also keep pushing your creative limits throughout our time together. Because your goal is not just to finish this book. It's to show unmistakable artistic growth since your last book. No Sophomore Slumps here.
What’s included in each coaching session:
Written feedback on up to 20 pages
You send your assignment on deadline. You'll write up to 20 pages between sessions. (Don't have pages yet, or not sure what to write next? No problem. I'll help with that.)
I review your work. My written feedback is thoughtful, specific, and designed to spark good discussions during our call.
We meet for our call. We dig into all your questions, brainstorm next steps and set your next assignment and deadline.
Pacing between calls is flexible. To maintain momentum, I recommend meeting every 1 to 2 weeks.
Sessions get cheaper the more you commit.
1 session — $375 (expires in 1 month)
3 sessions — $1,035 ($345/session; expires in 2 months)
12 sessions — $3,600 ($300/session; expires in 6 months)
Why do I use expiration dates? Because the #1 predictor of whether an author finishes their book is not writing talent or the brilliance of their ideas. It's consistency. Writers who meet regularly finish. And those who don't... don't. Expirations are there to keep you moving.
Start by filling out a short application.
Then we'll schedule a free 30-minute discovery call.
Do you already have a full draft of Book Two that's ready for revision? Then this two-month intensive is for you.
In the role of your developmental editor, I’ll evaluate your manuscript for structure, voice, and impact. I'll also go way beyond traditional editing. I call this a 720° revision because I do a full-circle analysis of not just Book Two but also Book One. By revisiting your first book, we’ll uncover how you're evolving as a writer: what you’re building toward, what you’re letting go of, and how you'll continue pushing your work further.
And you won’t just receive feedback. You’ll get to put that feedback into motion by revising and resubmitting your work.
You’ll leave with a sharper draft and a deeper understanding of your artistic trajectory.
What’s included:
My full read of your manuscript and your first book
Personalized editorial letters and in-line comments
Two private coaching calls (plus two optional mid-process calls)
Option to revise and receive a second manuscript review at no additional charge
THE 720° MANUSCRIPT REVIEW TIMELINE
Week 1: Manuscript Submission + Reflection Tool
You'll begin by completing a mini Book Two Blueprint, a one-page worksheet that helps both of us get clear on your creative intentions for Book Two. You'll submit this worksheet alongside your full manuscript.
Weeks 2-3: Full Review + Comparative Reading
I’ll review your completed Blueprint, your full Book Two draft, and your first book. I’ll be looking not just for what’s working or what’s missing, but also for how Book Two reflects your growth since Book One.
Week 4: Feedback + Strategy Session
You’ll receive in-line comments and an editorial letter outlining strengths, gaps, and revision priorities. Then we’ll meet for a 90-minute coaching call to unpack my feedback, co-create a revision strategy, and address any questions about what comes next.
Weeks 5-6: Revision
You’ll revise your manuscript based on our strategy, focusing on the growth arc you’ve committed to.
Week 7: Second Review
Once you resubmit your revised manuscript, I’ll review all changes with fresh eyes. I'll track your progress and identify what's working and what isn't.
Week 8: Final Feedback + Closing Call
You’ll receive a second round of written feedback and join me for another 90-minute coaching call. Together, we’ll reflect on what you’ve achieved, what still feels unfinished, and where to go from here.
You'll walk away with:
A sharper draft of Book Two
Revision strategies grounded in your goals
A deeper understanding of your creative trajectory
Clarity on what’s next for you as a writer

What exactly is book coaching?
Book coaching combines developmental editing, creative mentorship, and accountability. We work iteratively and collaboratively, with regular check-ins and coaching calls. Read my full definition of book coaching here.
When should I start working with a book coach?
Anytime. For Coaching, you don’t need a full draft. You don’t even need a full book idea. For the Manuscript Review, we can work off a first draft or a fifteenth. You'll get value either way.
Why work with a coach on my second book if I didn't work with one for my first?
For the same reasons athletes work with coaches as they progress. You’re not a beginner anymore. Of course you could keep writing on your own, but you’ll grow faster with a coach who helps you stay consistent and holds the bigger vision for what’s possible.
I’ve already published more than two books. Would we still be a good fit?
Possibly. While I specialize in second books, the challenges of Book Two (navigating new expectations and sustaining creative growth) tend to return with each new project. If you're ready to take a creative risk and deepen your writing practice, I’d love to hear more.
Do you work with writers who aren’t published yet?
Occasionally, yes. If you’re already writing at a high level and are ready to challenge yourself creatively, please reach out. Link to a writing sample (minimum 10 double-spaced pages) when applying.
Do you work with self-published authors?
Yes. I work with authors who’ve published traditionally, independently, and through hybrid models.
I'm writing genre fiction. Will you still work with me?
I’m not the best fit for coaching genre fiction. I specialize in nonfiction (memoir, narrative nonfiction, and knowledge-share books) and select literary fiction. If you’re unsure whether your project is a good match, feel free to reach out. If we’re not a fit, I'll refer you to another coach in my network.
Will you read my first book?
Yes. I read your first book before we begin so I can understand your voice, values, and vision, and then help you evolve them in Book Two. I see the second book not as a standalone project, but as part of a larger arc in your writing life.
How long does coaching usually last?
It depends on your book and your timeline. The Manuscript Review typically takes a couple months. After that, we may choose to continue working together with ongoing sessions. We’ll clarify your initial needs during your free consultation.
Can you just write my book for me?
Maybe, though for most authors book coaching is the better fit. Book coaching gives you the tools to think deeply about your content, grow your skills, and stay connected to your voice throughout the process. I recommend ghostwriting to English language learners and authors on tight deadlines. My ghostwriting and book doctoring services are at savka.ink
